My Montclair clients were looking to sell their multi-family fast and for top dollar but their first floor unit needed some refreshing to make it more marketable for buyers. This apartment renovation included a refresh of the kitchen, main full bath and front porch as well as all new paint, lighting and flooring. It costs a fraction of a full kitchen and bath gut reno. In the kitchen we kept the solid wood vintage cabinets but refreshed the paint, added a new concrete-look countertop, 2" hexagon backsplash tile, new hardware, brighter lighting and an eat-in island. Check out the before and after kitchen pics here. For the main full bath, we kept the wall tile but changed out the floor tile for a 2" hex, added a slim vanity for more spaciousness, improved the lighting and added more storage with a black-framed medicine cabinet. Check out the bathroom before and after here. The front porch got some much needed curb appeal with door lettering, fun door mats and seating for hanging out. And the odd closet in the dining room was turned into a useful office nook with seating for two. I also did the staging on this apartment. I was so happy to hear from my clients that it sold in the first week on the market!
